Boonah State High School has been proudly serving the Fassifern community since 1965. In that time it has progressed from an opening enrolment of 225 students to 657 today.
The school opened on its present site on March 22 1965. The solitary building had been constructed on the site in late 1964 and early 1965 at a cost of about 51,000 pounds. In that time, it has progressed from a single building now known as A Block erected in what used to be a cow paddock, with students bussed to the local primary school for the practical subjects of manual training and domestic science, to the modern facility of today.
Our current facilities include assembly hall, resource centre, administration block, industrial technology and design block, home economics block, art block, three full size computer rooms and mini labs, flexible learning centre, swimming pool, multi media centre, the tuckshop incorporating a learnscape and science block.
The Boonah community spirit has never wavered; it is the foundation on which Boonah State High School was built.
Our school is a comprehensive public secondary school offering a diverse curriculum for students from Years 7 to 12.
