Boonah State High offers the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme to students from Grade 9 to 12 who then take up the opportunities offered to achieve personal success.

The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a very worthwhile program to be involved in.  Not only do you learn new skills, get fit, and do things in the community but you also get the opportunity to go on exciting expeditions like…

Sailing around Moreton Bay

Camping and bushwalking at Girraween

Climbing Mt Barney and the list goes on.

Students work through Bronze, Silver & Gold levels and commit themselves to 3 months, 6 months and 12 months of learning new skills, participating in physical recreational activities and providing community service.  These assist to develop confidence, self-motivation and leadership potential which helps for a successful future.
